Age Spots Natural Remedies

Age spots or discoloration of the skin is caused by excess Melanin. These unappealing brown spots are found on the hands, face or other parts of the body. Melanin is increased from sun exposure, age and hormones. Age Spots are usually treated with bleaching agents that have to be repeated because the spots always come back.

From the natural perspective, age spots generally come from hormone therapy, i.e. estrogen birth control methods or a pregnancy related event. Age spots or skin discoloration also comes from liver and colon disorders. It is easily treated, but takes 6 – 12 months. Eliminate chemical birth control and other medications which tax or damage the liver. (Evaluate your medications, especially statin drugs.)

Brown or red spots are often signs of liver imbalance. Signs of liver symptoms include irritability and anger. To support the body’s healthy functions include exercise in your routine, eliminate tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea, soda—These are liver robbing foods.

The best combination includes NAC (N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine), Dandelion root, Kali sulph 6X, and the homeopathic remedy that fits your situation.

Disclaimer: some drugs and herbs should not be combined.

Anger Management Natural Remedies

Anger is the state of mind that reflects an emotional sensitivity. It is caused from emotional sensitivity or weakness or damage to the liver. This can happen from foods and poor dietary habits, pollution and most commonly from almost all medications.

Common over the counter pain relievers are the most frequent offenders. Physical symptoms can also involve digestive problems, high blood pressure and can come from stress.

The medical field may treat anger issues with counseling and various medications such as anti-depressants and other drugs that may have a temporary effect but rarely treats the cause.

The natural perspective is that anger is an emotional imbalance that when properly helped by feeding the liver and heart, a person can find joy and balance in life.

For anger issues in woman due to hormonal imbalance.

Dietary concerns are spicy and sour foods feed anger as well as stimulants and dietary imbalances. Eliminate liver stressors such as tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea, caffeine, and sodas.

Simply, eat non-stimulating foods such as a vegetarian diet.

Supplements that aid the liver are NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine), glutathione and magnesium would be helpful with the herbs, cell salt and homeopathics. Also carefully consider a good counselor to help guide you through releasing anger.

Natural Liver Cleanse Remedies

A healthy liver is essential for many important functions of the body. The liver must be healthy enough to detoxify the body from pollution as well as toxins in the food we eat and general operating (metabolism) by-products. When the liver functions well, it may facilitate weight loss as the fat cells release their stored toxins. You may need a liver cleanse if you feel grumpy, irritable or wake up tired most mornings.

Try to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Always start by eliminating tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea and fast foods.

Essential nutritional supplements for liver cleansing: NAC (N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine) is my favorite liver detoxifying supplement as it helps the liver produce glutathione to facilitate detoxification.

Leg and Feet Swelling Natural Remedies

Leg and feet swelling, or edema, is an accumulation of liquid in the tissues between the cell spaces and may be annoying at first, but progress to a severe or debilitating problem. Signs include swelling or pitting of the skin where a finger indentation may last for a few seconds to minutes or longer. In most cases swelling of the legs is caused by (#1) a weakness of the kidneys; (#2) lymphatic congestion; (#3) heart valve weakness; or (#4) liver problems. Then there are rarer symptoms of asites, cancer, pulmonary edema, congestive heart failure, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or kidney failure, etc. More seriously, swelling of one particular leg, right or left, is important as well as leg swelling during morning or night. If the legs or feet are warm or cold, this also has significance. Swelling from vein enlargement is mostly one sided, pressure and pain sensitive and difficult to press. It is a circulatory problem and may be connected to hemorrhoids or varicose veins. Natural therapies may be very effective. Be sure to know the underlying problem.

Medical treatment for simple cases of leg and feet swelling (edema) include the use of diuretics and possibly potassium. While somewhat effective, they may produce dependence, cover other symptoms, damage the kidneys, or have other side effects and toxicity.

It is important to have the cause of leg and feet swelling diagnosed to rule out serious problems.

Naturally, we look for simple solutions first to leg and feet swelling, such as dehydration (not drinking enough water), side effects from medications you are taking, or not getting enough protein. It may also be due to constipation (not having at least one bowel movement a day).

For leg and feet swelling (edema) classification one must recognize the following criteria:

Kidneys: leg and feet swelling where the skin is warm and is already there in the mornings. Signs are seen in the face also swollen eyelids and puffiness of the back of the hands. It is mostly right sided.

Lymphatic congestion: first rule out the other causes. Swelling of feet and legs are at a normal temperature, not hot or cold, and could be either leg. We also see glands swelling in the groin, arms or head.

Heart problems: limbs are cold, and the swelling begins in the joint areas, goes to the feet and is mostly left sided.

Liver edema, also known as ASITES: before the leg and feet swelling begin the abdomen is enlarged, a water swelling, the navel is stretched where it is only seen as flattened spot. In opposition to the swollen abdomen the rest of the extremities look thin. With this process we often see a colon disturbance. Before the abdominal water swelling, we see and abdominal expansion swelling. It is often combined with constipation.

Diet for leg swelling: stop smoking, alcohol, caffeine, coffee, black tea, sodas, and processed foods.  Supplements to help with leg swelling (edema) include:

Coenzyme Q10 – 100 mg a day for heart care and protection.

Vitamin B6 is a mild natural diuretic when used at 50mg twice daily.

Disclaimer: some drugs and herbs should not be combined.

Natural Healing Protocol: Combining supplements will do more to support your body’s ability to function properly than using just one. Use the following remedies for best results — your ability to heal will depend on the severity and length of time your symptoms have been present.

Natural Remedies for Gallstones

Gallstones are an over accumulation of bile that forms stones which can block the bile duct and become extremely painful. Symptoms include indigestion, gas, and bloating. There can be a sensation of fluttering or pain in the region of the low right ribs. There may also be a soreness of the lower tip of the right shoulder blade.

Common causes include a poor diet, and some prescription medications. Some authorities on the subject think it is an over consumption of fats.

Almost exclusively, the medical field removes the gallbladder and many surgeons will also remove a healthy appendix “just in case.” Many people will report benefits while others feel worse afterward.

From a natural perspective, besides the physicality of poor liver function or diet, gallstones are seen as accumulated anger or resentment.

What you can do naturally is to clean up your diet, eliminating tobacco, alcohol, coffee, or black tea. Stay away from fast foods. A slow and healthy method of removing stones is to take a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil with a teaspoon of fresh-squeezed lemon juice in 8 ounces of apple juice and drink before bed each night for 12 weeks. I have found this very effective.

Disclaimer: some drugs and herbs should not be combined.

Natural Healing Protocol: Combining supplements will do more to support your body’s ability to function properly than using just one. Use the following remedies for best results — your ability to heal will depend on the severity and length of time your symptoms have been present.
