There might be a poor mother-daughter relationship. Anorexia can also be used as a coping mechanism for deeper psychological problems.

From the medical view of anorexia, a person may need hospital stays when symptoms become life threatening. The person then needs an evaluation. Psychotherapy is almost always required. Anti-depressant medication (which may cause other problems) could be recommended. Typically, 30% of all anorexia patients do not recover.

Incontinence Natural Remedies

Urinary leakage from the bladder includes frequent urging with little flow. Causes in women are generally menopausal problems from lack of estrogen, chronic constipation, weakness from childbirth, or a weak pelvic floor (from sitting too much). There are more women than men suffering from this. Men suffering from this can have an enlarged prostate. Men, see Prostate Problems, BPH Natural Remedies. Other causes of incontinence include prescription drug side effects.

Medical treatment for incontinence can include drugs which dry up body fluids (may cause a myriad of side effects) or act to calm bladder spasms. All drugs treat the symptoms of urinary leakage, not the cause.

Naturally, we want to get to the cause of the urinary incontinence. Also, getting rid of urinary stressors such as tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea, and soda pop will go a long way to eliminating urinary problems.

Stress and nervousness is often a cause of urinary incontinence, and herbs and other natural treatments can help. Other treatments can include strengthening the prostate, for men, and addressing hormonal issues during menopause for women. Doing Kegel exercises for at least 3 months can help with pelvic floor weakness.

Disclaimer: some drugs and herbs should not be combined.

Fibrocystic Breasts Natural Remedies

Fibrocystic breast disease (FBD) is a benign condition of lumps in the breasts which affects over 60% of women ages 30 to 50. The breasts can be lumpy, sensitive, and painful especially during the week before and at the start of the menstrual period.

Modern medicine treats fibrocystic breasts with over-the-counter pain relievers which only give symptomatic relief. Common causes are hormone birth control methods, and/or a diet rich in animal fats (which means rich in synthetic estrogens). From a natural perspective, this is a hormonal imbalance from the aforementioned causes.

What you can do naturally:

The first thing that you can do is find a natural way to birth control, then make sure your diet is free of animal products, especially fats.

Candida/Vaginal Yeast Infections Natural Remedies

A vaginal yeast infection means that too many yeast cells, usually called Candida albicans, are growing in the vaginal area. When healthy, the vaginal bacteria keep the yeast in check. Candida in women is usually indicated by any kind of vaginal discharge, itching, burning, or possible dryness. There may be irritability, bloating, anxiety and nervousness.

The causes of Candida can be diet from dairy, coffee, alcohol, sodas and refined sugars. It may also be caused from hormonal imbalances, sometimes caused by chemical birth control.

Modern medicine treats Candida with other less harmful fungus medicines (one fungus treats another!!!). There is a little control, and only long-term treatments continue to help.

Natural solutions will help regulate the pH levels with the following treatments. Also get your hormones in balance, and regulate your diet, eliminating dairy, coffee, alcohol, sodas and refined sugars.

Short term control includes using 1,000 micrograms of Biotin (a B vitamin that controls sugar and carbohydrate metabolism) two to three times a day. Use this daily for at least 2 weeks. If this is not sufficient, add the trace mineral Molybdonem 150 micrograms twice a day.

Natural Yeast Cleanse Remedies

Symptoms of Candida or Yeast Infection in women include tiredness, irritability, bloating, anxiety and nervousness. There may be vaginal discharge, itching, burning, or even dryness. Some authors claim there are up to two hundred different symptoms. Cleansing Candida comes by creating an environment in the gut that does not support Candida. Using a good probiotic like Nature’s Way Reuteri will help replace friendly bacteria that belong in the gut. Further, you must improve digestion and repair previous damage from yeast.

IMPORTANT NUTRITION FOR CANDIDA/YEAST –Many people have used the following combination for short-term control: 5,000 mcg of Biotin (a B vitamin) up to twice a day, which helps sugar and carbohydrate metabolism. Use this daily for up to two weeks. Add Nature’s Way Reuteri as I have seen this help many of my clients. If this is not sufficient, add the trace mineral Molybdonem 150 mcg twice a day. Glycine is an amino acid that helps repair the gut lining by controlling carbohydrate metabolism.

One of the most important things you can do is improve your diet by eliminating tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea, and fast foods.

Natural Remedies for Interstitial Cystitis

Interstitial cystitis is a form of chronic cystitis or inflammation of the bladder. It affects mostly women from in their twenties to forties. There is a constant urge to urinate, as the bladder feels full all the time. As the bladder fills, the pain increases.
