Men’s Hair Loss Natural Remedies

Hair loss, also called male pattern baldness, comes from aging in men. Men can start losing hair as soon as they reach puberty but typically it happens from the Man with hairlossage of seventeen and older. Men can have hair loss from the front of the head, where the hair recedes (receding hairline) or in the pattern
of a circle atop the head.

It is caused by hormones turning from testosterone to dihydrotestosterone which destroys the hair permanently. It is basically a hormone issue influenced by the foods we eat.

How modern medicine treats male pattern baldness: They often use topical chemicals that produce marginal hair and must be used indefinitely or the hair falls out. (What a great marketing tool.) It also has side effects such as testicular pain. (Sex appeal has its price!)  Other strategies include hair implants which may have various results.

Michio Kushi, in his book of Oriental Diagnosis claims that hair loss in men is a result of an improper diet. This is not surprising since the typical American diet is either too much animal protein rich or there is too much sugar or even both. This is very evident to typical teenagers or young adults. This is very evident in typical teenagers or young adults. Thus, it is important to have a balanced diet.

He further asserts that frontal hair loss is from an over-consumption of sugar and is usually related to intellectual individuals.

The monks-cap look comes from excessive salt and a “meat and potatoes” diet, including those who are blue collar workers (those who work with their hands).

Herbs are plants valued for their specific strengthening/ tonifying properties.

European tradition uses a tea of Stinging Nettle roots washed into the scalp before bed every night for male pattern baldness.

Other herbs used internally balance hormone levels as they are important for hair and sexual function. Some research maintains that Saw Palmetto taken daily prevents testosterone from being converted to dihydrotestosterone. It is also useful for enlarged prostates. Suggested use is 320mg of the extract.

Sarsaparilla may also prove important to maintain healthy testosterone levels.

Incontinence Natural Remedies

Urinary leakage from the bladder includes frequent urging with little flow. Causes in women are generally menopausal problems from lack of estrogen, chronic constipation, weakness from childbirth, or a weak pelvic floor (from sitting too much). There are more women than men suffering from this. Men suffering from this can have an enlarged prostate. Men, see Prostate Problems, BPH Natural Remedies. Other causes of incontinence include prescription drug side effects.

Medical treatment for incontinence can include drugs which dry up body fluids (may cause a myriad of side effects) or act to calm bladder spasms. All drugs treat the symptoms of urinary leakage, not the cause.

Naturally, we want to get to the cause of the urinary incontinence. Also, getting rid of urinary stressors such as tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea, and soda pop will go a long way to eliminating urinary problems.

Stress and nervousness is often a cause of urinary incontinence, and herbs and other natural treatments can help. Other treatments can include strengthening the prostate, for men, and addressing hormonal issues during menopause for women. Doing Kegel exercises for at least 3 months can help with pelvic floor weakness.

Epididymitis Natural Remedies

Epididymitis is an inflammatory condition at the beginning of the sperm ducts of the testicles. Symptoms include testicular and inguinal pains. There may be fever and chills also. Erectile Dysfunction (Natural Male Enhancement)

Erectile dysfunction is the inability to have an erection or to maintain an erection, or ejaculate; impotence. Symptoms may also include loss of sexual desire (libido), premature ejaculation, or inability to achieve orgasm. Almost half of all men experience erectile dysfunction only occasionally.

Beware of sexual performance-enhancing drugs as they have many side effects, and have accounted for over 200 deaths per year. (Some have remarked that they died with a smile on their face; a small consolation for their family.) Some ad disclaimers read that it is possible to have an erection for more than four hours. Again, beware.

Causes can be physical, psychological, or drug-induced. Several conditions may contribute to erectile dysfunction by impairing blood flow to the penis. These include atherosclerosis, diabetes, hypo-thyroidism, multiple sclerosis, and chronic alcohol abuse. Diabetes often plays a big part with either the severity of the disease or the drugs to treat it.

High cholesterol. Along with this health issue, prescription drugs used to treat high cholesterol often have the undesirable side effect that creates liver problems. The Chinese say irritability or anger is a liver imbalance. Grumpiness is not a romantic state. On top of liver imbalances, there may be aching muscles, muscle wasting, lowered energy, and also a possible connection to ALS.

Natural treatments for high cholesterol include regular exercise and change of diet, as well as several natural supplements. Garlic, Red Yeast Rice Extract, Policosinol Extract, and many others have shown to improve health as well as lower cholesterol.

Prescription drugs. The main culprits here are anti-depressants and heart medications. Check with your doctor to evaluate your medication regularly. Do not go off medications without your doctor’s supervision.

From a natural perspective, as the man returns to better health symptoms subside. Some men are more susceptible than others.

Use natural supplements. In the nutritional industry, sexual performance-enhancing supplements are selling well. As the urinary and sex organ systems are connected, the benefit is better sexual performance. L-Arginine is an amino acid (protein) that enhances male genital blood flow without side effects.

What you can do naturally…

Change some bad habits. Ok, so you don’t want to hear about bad habits, but there is still time to start a New Year’s resolution to get rid of tobacco, alcohol, coffee or black tea.

Besides cancer and respiratory problems, tobacco restricts your ability to have blood flow into certain important parts (male parts). Alcohol, although it can release your inhibitions, has a boomerang effect; the initial relaxation, and then an over-stimulation effect, disrupting blood flow into those important parts. Coffee and black tea irritate the whole genitourinary system. If you cut out these things, you will have more money and energy to take out your partner!

Have some grape juice. Now for a surprise from a recent study, several men have reported an improved sex drive from consuming 8 ounces of Concord grape juice each day. In addition to the super antioxidants, all the male parts work better.

Gray Hair Natural Remedies

Gray hair is not always related to age. It is the process where pigmentation of the hair is lost and the hair appears in various stages of gray. The changes can happen very suddenly or gradually.

Causes of gray hair include heredity, stress, thyroid imbalances, anemia, and B-12 deficiency. Smoking and alcohol also contribute to early graying. Smokers are four times as likely to gray earlier.

Many women, and now men, dye their hair, however, hair dyes can be toxic for some people. Natural Henna may be used to add color, although they are not as long lasting as permanent dyes.

From the natural perspective we want to look at preventing gray hair and gray hair reversal by supporting the thyroid, and helping with anemia and nutritional deficiencies. Homeopathic remedies, cell salts, and herbs can assist. Eliminate other substances that may make it harder to reverse gray hair by stressing the body such as tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea, and fast foods.

Natural Remedies to Help Prostate Problems, BPH

If you are urinating too frequently, feel pressure or burning in that area, or your sex life is being affected, you may have prostate problems, or BPH (benign prostate hyperplasia, found usually in older men when the prostate enlarges).

Symptoms include changes in urination, split urinary stream, weak stream, intermittent urination, dribbling of urine, “bashful bladder,” incomplete emptying, frequent nightly urination, or urinary incontinence.

Any pain associated can be within the prostate, localized or radiate to the pelvis, above the pubic bone, in the perineum, or in the upper thighs. There can be fever and chills, urging to urinate, as well as frequent and painful urination.

Possible signs in the face include swollen lower eyelids that are rosy red colored (generally in elderly men), chin is prominent or cleft, or thick lower lip. This may also involve male hormone problems. Other signs may include receding, thinning hair, deficient hair growth in beard or too much hair growth on entrance of ear canal.

See a doctor if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Inability to empty the bladder
  • Blood in the urine
  • Frequent urinary tract infections
  • Bladder stones

Urinary retention can permanently damage the bladder.

Modern medicine uses drugs that “shrink” the prostate, or reduce the aforementioned symptoms. There can be side effects from these drugs that cause other health problems (some causing impotence) besides having to take them for the rest of your life. Surgery is another medical option.

Natural ways to prevent or help prostate problems are: First clean up your diet, removing alcohol, black tea, coffee and tobacco. Second, change a sedentary lifestyle by exercising. Third, use the following healing protocol.

“Many people ask me what I would do if I got prostate cancer. If it was a slow-growing type, I would follow the advice of several prominent cancer doctors who suggest just leaving it alone. In their experience, they say that most men can survive 10 to 20 years without further problems and avoid the risk of surgical treatments and side effects from medications that can cause impotence and other urinary problems.

Of course, I would be monitored regularly by a doctor. I’m not one to rush into a big decision. I would, however, go on a vegan diet. Animal products are high in fat and may contain steroids and hormones (foreign estrogens and more) that adversely affect anyone’s health.” — Dave
