Eye Strain, Tired Eyes Natural Remedies

Overuse from too much television or computer use strains the eyes. Eyes may itch or burn or sting. Other causes of tired eyes can come from sand or dust, or allergies etc. Modern medicine often treats the symptoms of tired eyes with over-the counter drugs or eye drops. There may be some side effects and they don’t get to the cause.

From the natural perspective we can strengthen the weakness of the system whether it is due to liver imbalance or stress. These can cause weakness of the eye muscles. Clean up your diet and remember to avoid alcohol, tobacco, coffee, soda pop and junk food.

Lutein and Zeanthin (antioxidants) taken as daily supplements are valuable to protect the eyes.

Use combination eye drops from Similisan for temporary relief.

Disclaimer: some drugs and herbs should not be combined.

Natural Healing Protocol: Combining supplements will do more to support your body’s ability to function properly than using just one. Use the following remedies for best results — your ability to heal will depend on the severity and length of time your symptoms have been present.
